Can you comment the second post (from msft.guy) and his second point: Hovering taskbar thumbnail doesn’t peek in main window as it should?

What do you mean “external”?
It does support external artwork, but filenames are just hard-coded into foobar executable. You could name your artwork as “folder.jpg” or “cover.jpg” and it will appear in popup window.
But it doesn’t support configuring search paths and filename formats for external artwork. Foobar’s core doesn’t have such features at the moment. Columns UI also doesn’t provide such a service though it has a way to configure it. And I’m not planning to invent a wheel once again.

nvan, options are grayed out when you’re running incompatible OS.
Check your compatibility settings, possibly you’re running foobar in compatible mode. Also check foobar’s console on startup, plugin should report startup issues.

Hi, I like the concept, however it does not seem to work. I have put it in the components section, the options show up but are all greyed out. Am I doing something wrong, it did work, but then I added a new playlist or closed it or something and now it doesnt work anymore.

Devocalypse, it’s possible (and very easy), but I won’t do it. For playback it would be just useless annoying animation in taskbar.
It’d be useful for converter, I wanted to do this, but Peter said there’s no any converter callbacks. No way.

Hey, thanks for the great component, keep up the good work.
On a side note i was wondering if it is possible to expand it a bit and make it show the song progress on the taskbar button as the green progress bar similar to the one when copying files. The progress has been integrated in the latest version of ImgBurn which shows the progrss of burning / verifying. Converter progress in a similar way wouldnt be bad either but i guess that’s up to the converter component.

Very cool, i will definitely use this. However, after installing, foobar doesnt show up when using Windows key + Tab.

7068 x64:
1. play/pause on the thumbnail toolbar still broken (Spy++ shows duplicate messages, but strangely back and forward work as expected)
2. aero peek (either from alt-tab or from taskbar thumbnail) does not work for foobar with plugin loaded
